When not travelling for speaking engagements, Shannon teaches high school and is a volunteer restorative justice circle facilitator for youth with Peacebuilders International and a workshop leader for the award-winning youth program Leave Out ViolencE (LOVE). She lives in Toronto.
She is the author of a memoir, Through the Glass (Doubleday Canada, October 2011).
